Principal Mediator

Hari Thiruvanam has enjoyed over thirty years’ experience in a wide variety of academic, HR and leadership roles encompassing lecturing, legal advisory, employee discipline and performance management in both higher education and business sectors including professional bodies.

This has given him a well-rounded experience in managing people and conflicts. Hari brings a wealth of knowledge and fairness to every mediation. Hari is accredited under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) through the Dispute Resolution Branch of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General Queensland. He is a Professional Member of the Resolution Institute (PRI) (No 82908) and a member with the Australian Mediation Association respectively.

Workplace Mediation

Mediating workplace conflicts such as employment disputes, employee conflicts, work-team conflicts, etc.

Commercial Dispute Mediation

Some examples of commercial disputes are to recover monies owed; disputes with suppliers, clients/customers, employees, franchisees and business partners.

Neighbourhood & Community Dispute Mediation

Disputes or disagreements between neighbours or communities on property, fence, noise, parking, etc.

Personal Injury Claims

In individual injury compensation claims, mediation will generally occur between the injured person making a claim, the insurance company, or their legal representative.

Real Estate Mediation

Disputes regarding transactions between real estate agents, first-time home buyers, sellers, landlords or tenant.

Small Business Mediation

Disputes over business contracts, shareholders, business operations, outstanding payments, intellectual property, etc.

Wills and Estate Mediation

Related to the administration of estates, including disputes between estate trustees and beneficiaries, attorneys under powers of attorney, business owners and family members, and charitable beneficiaries.

JV and Partnership Mediation

Provides the flexibility to arrive at a commercially focused solution and avoids the high costs of litigation and potential damage to the business in both the longer and shorter run. Partners may be liable for breach of the various duties they owe to each other or for violations of the Shareholder Agreement in a joint venture setting.
